droid x bootloop and no longer charging..help please.

I am having problems with my dx again. I am running the leaked gingerbread version 595. My phone bootloops when I try to turn it on. I'm not opposed to sbfing back to stock, but when I go to the bootloader screen it says the battery is too low to program. The phone wont charge either. When I plug in the adapter and battery pull, then the screen just shows a ? Instead of the total battery charge. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Use a external battery charger to charge battery or replace with another battery that is charged is only simple solution..

How is your battery gonna charge if its not in the phone while plugged in????

Yeah the phone won't charge during boot or in recovery mode. I saw a thing last year where people were powering it with stripped wires going straight to the battery plates- as in stripping a usb cord, taping the wires to the appropriate plates, and plugging it into a pc- during the froyo leak days (due to the same problem of trying to flash with a battery that was too low). I can't remember right now which site it was, but it was on one of the "other" droid forums

My bad..LOL, hope u get it charged up. Have u tried plugging it into a wall outlet?

verizon ended up just sending me a replacement since they couldn't figure it out either.
