Droid X HDMI cable ?

This is where I would recommend getting the cables.
Video Cables - Micro-HDMI/HDMI

They ship fast and have some of the best prices around.
HAHA! I was just about to post the link to Monoprice, but wanted to read through everything first. I bought my TV wall mount from them. The same mount that I would have spent $300 for at Best Buy I paid $75 total to have it shipped. I had no problems with shipping and got it a couple days before. I am also using their HDMI cables and optical cables with no problems.

is there a difference between the regular and high speed cables? I have never seen a high speed cable before?

Regular are 1.3b and high speed are 1.4 and are mainly for 3d. But do not buy Monster, they are a rip-off and don't even bother reading the package, that is just for people who don't know anything about HDMI. I get them from Monoprice and spent about $50 total for 3x-6ft 1.4 HDMI with net jacket, 1x-6ft HDMI to micro HDMI for my phone, 6ft fiber optic audio cable, and 6ft usb to mini usb.

High speed cables were being made long before the HDMI 1.4 standard came into play. They were listed as "c2 or cl2" cables. It has to do with the transmission speeds. There is no such thing as a 1.4 HDMI cable they did away with all the numbering for cables when they introduced the standard. I own many cl2 rated cables and they will pass any HDMI signal to date through them. The only thing that changed with the 1.4 standard about cables was audio return and over ethernet. There was no speed increase.

Ah. I guess im behind in that knowledge. That is just what I read on mono price a while back.

Sounds like verizon is selling a type D to type B connector when it should be a type D to type A.

Got mine at MonoPrice. I'll be using them for most of my cable needs. Got a nice HDMI for the DX, another for DVR box and a fiber optic for the sound bar. All about $30. Great prices.

HDMI is a digital signal, its a 'yes/no' function. Either the signal is there or not. Analog is a wave signal that can be conditioned and interfered with.

A $100 cable carries a digital signal as well as a $5 cable - with analog its is different as you can have shielded cable to protect the signal, gold cable to carry the signal and so on.

Please let people know this, we all could save hundreds of dollars...

AMEN !!

What is the best value for a cable for the Droid X? I was looking at basic HDMI cables in Wal-mart for $20, but didn't know if the Droid X needed some special one or adapter. I want the cheapest QUALITY cable around. What do all of you use?

I don't know about the quality, but if you already have an HDMI cable, you can get a mini adapter (one end goes to the cable, the other into the phone) from Radio Shack.

Also, there isn't any need to get a Monster Cable, the inexpensive house brands are just fine, or take a look at Cables To Go - Computer Cables, Audio Video Cables, DVI Cables, USB Cables, HDMI, KVMs, Cat5E, Video Splitters, Adapter.
