Droid X Shipping on August 23!

I'm still waiting on my X I ordered mine on 8/1 and still haven't received a shipping notification. My order status still just states: Your order has been processed and will be shipped based on inventory availability and shipping method. You will receive shipment notification and tracking details via email. I am having such a hard time waiting for this phone, I can't wait to get rid of my Storm 1!

I called Verizon this morning just to see if there was any update on my order and same thing, scheduled to ship on 8/23, but the Verizon CS person said that the phones had been shipping early, but just to sit tight.

If only Seidio can start making their stuff available for purchase, I'd love to put the DX into a case before I step outside with it.

I ordered my phone on 8/4, they told me it would ship 8/23 and arrive 8/25. I just got the email today saying it will arrive on 8/11 no later than 11am. From everything i have read, they seem to be shipping early.

Im just excited to finally get rid of my Original Storm!

I odered my replacement DX on August 3, the Verizon rep said it would ship by the 18th. I got an email today with a tracking #. At least they are getting them out the door promptly!

I finally got a shipping notification email on Sunday 8/8 and checked the tracking info today and it is scheduled to arrive on 8/11 at 7pm. So excited! Had to do another battery pull on my Storm today and said to myself I am not going to miss doing this! lol

Same story for me. I ordered on 8/5 and just spoke to VZW CS. They said to expect it on 8/12. Yaay! I was supposed to get it 8-25. Seems to me like VZW is trying to create a little more buzz... Whow knows? I'm just happy to be replacing my Storm2.

Same here. Ordered on 8/3 on the Vz website. Was told would ship on 8/19. I checked the order and it says it is just waiting for supply to ship. I hope it comes earlier.

Also a Storm 1 convert. I already have about 30 apps on my Appbrain account ready to install as soon as I get it.

it's still hanging out in memphis tn.. and only an 10 hour drive to columbus oh
unless they throw.. i mean gently place it it on a plane..

So people who are freaking out calling vzw every day for an update.
just order it and wait a week and you'll have your phone.

I beg to differ Though I already have my Droid X.. just waiting for my replacement because the speaker was defective. But I ordered mine on the 5th and the rep told me it won't be shipped out until the 23rd. So a couple more weeks for me until I get me permanent X. At least I still have one for now though

I think it's funny how if you ordered your DX on 8/2, you're getting it on 8/10, while those that ordered on 8/5 like myself, has a posted ship date of 8/23. Some that ordered this week were getting quotes of a ship date of 8/25. We all know we're getting our DX earlier than the date specified, but this contributes to the anxiety because we truly don't know the ship date.

I can't believe I'm even this anxious to get a new phone, but most of that stems from the fact that we're getting it earlier.

7 days sounds right! I'll manage my own expectations and hope for the shipping email to appear in my inbox either this friday or next monday.

I ordered in-store at the end of July, but couldn't actually get it untill 8/7 as I was waiting for my AT&T contract to expire. The shipment they were expecting at the store around 8/4 apparently showed up a week early, and now they think their next shipment will be ~ 8/15 - 8/18 ... they hope... but he said that stores might be boned as VZW shifts all incoming stock towards working through the online backorders instead of the store orders.

Dunno if that last part it true... kind of hope it isn't. At least for my sake.

I ordered mine on 8/4 and I got it in today!! When I called about it they told me mine would be in the 8/19 shipment...Went to the store and they tracked it for me yesterday.

Yeah don't sweat it. I actually received mine a few days before it was supposed to ship. It was supposed to ship on 8/5, but I got it on 8/2.

Ordered on the 3rd to replace my original Droid X where buttons a biit loose. Said ship by 19th. Got confirmation yesterday 9 days early. They give you the worst case scenario.
