Droid X Shipping on August 23!

i am beyond frustrated right now! my dad and i ordered our x's the same day, and the order was made in the same store, and he ordered his AFTER mine. but i got an email today saying that HIS phone had been picked up in memphis and will arrive in the next two days.. no email for MY phone yet. GRRRRRRRRR! and i see a fed ex truck come through my apartment complex everyday, but they never have anything for me. i better be getting my email soon. he lives in georgia, and i live in ohio, so maybe that's why he's getting his first. but still.. this absolutely sucks! i called him at work, and he laughed in my face. horrible.

sounds like my father lol an him being in GA more then likly is the reason an your not the only one whos frustrated now if i get mine before you then you should get pissed lol dont worry ill be nice an wont laugh in yer face

Picked up one hour ago and set for 2nd Day on 9/3 by 4:30pm.
Oddly, Memphis is 3 hours from me and I normally get things from Memphis next day. Wonder if they'll "sit on it" for another day????

I'm fired up now! Happy Dance time......

It's in my sig, but I ordered (the second time) on 8/23 via phone. If I didn't have to work to pay for it - I might drive to Memphis myself. LOL!
I've messed with my buddy's phone enough to know I'll love it.
BTW - I thought waiting was bad before... but now that I know that it's "on it's way" I'm even more impatient.

Hey all. New user, awaiting a couple of Droid X's for myself and the wife... Odd thing though.. Seems as if everyone is talking about a 2-week wait time. I ordered mine on Friday, 8/27 at a Verizon Store. The woman who ordered it, told me that it would ship out by 9/6, at the latest. Now, if that is true, 9/6 is Labor Day, 9/4 and 9/5 are the weekend, so it would stand to believe that it would ship on 9/3, only a week out. Is this at all possible? I confirmed the 9/6 date with her as well, because I was shocked at it being so quick. Oh well, can't wait to get rid of this Tour, and get a real phone.

well to be honest with you i believe the lady lied to you i bought mine on the 25th with a ship by date of the ninth so your will be later then the ninth unless your one of the lucky ones to get it early an the sixth is the ship by date not the day youll recieve it

So I wonder how you are getting yours overnight and I'm 3 hours from both the shipping center AND the fedex place I mine is two days. And now they've changed my delivery from "by 4:30" to "by 7pm". Are they just TRYING to piss me off?

i placed my order online and i did not get overnight shipping. mine shipped friday and it came two day which meant yesterday

My delivery was set for by 7pm tonight, but they delivered it at 8:03 a.m. while I was in the shower. Needless to say now I'm not getting my phone till tomorrow. ugh.

Hello all! I have read through this thread and thought I would join in. I received an e-mail from Verizon on 8/18 that I could upgrade early (about 20 days). I called the number listed and placed my order on 8/20. On 8/25 I received an e-mail from Verizon stating that my order had been canceled on 8/23 because I was not eligible for an upgrade. Ummmmkay. I would have had my phone by now! I called in on 8/25, but the order was not processed until 8/26 with a ship date of 9/10. I'm really hoping it comes early because I'm beginning to get impatient!
