Just the Maxx? Not Maxx HD or Razr Maxx?

Go with the LG G2. Better screen, better CPU, GPU. Better camera. Dolby sound. Higher version for stock ROM. USB on the go. FM radio. You give up splash resistance, barometer sensor and removable battery if you don't get the Maxx. None of those would be deal breakers for me.

Removable battery?

The Droid Maxx has a removable battery so you can take it out and replace it easily. The LG G2 has a sealed battery compartment. For some, being able to pull the battery is a must. They use battery pull to end bootloops, or they add a higher capacity after market battery or they are hard on batteries and carry a spare. Maybe they replace batteries often due to the amount of use they go through. For such people, not having access to the battery can be a deal breaker.
