DroidPirate App working for you?

I bought the DroidPirate app from the Amazon App Store yesterday and now every time I restart me phone it takes me through the Clockwork recovery screen. When I tried to use the downloaded .zips I got force close messages about the status bar. The .zips did finally get my icons to change, but I am not sure my phone was working properly. Any thoughts out there?

I have been using the app for a week or so (I am a member of his site). I have not had any issues with booting into Recovery. I have had issues with the FC's when modding the SystemUI.apk. I believe it is because the file is activiley in use.

To use the app, you will also need metamorph or ninjamorph. If using metamorph, modify the DroidPirate app settings to use the Android Themes folder on your SD. After you pull whatever mods you want, run metamorph to install them. Do not try to use the .zips with Recovery.

Most of the files on Droid Pirate usually was for Froyo not GB, and this causes issues on GB because the files usually have files from Froyo that gets copied into GB directory that isnt supported. If the file isn't GB support I wouldn't use it because it can cause bootloops.

I didn't even know there was a DroidPirate app,lol but yes I can agree with Wildman. Alot of his files are Froyo based. hes got alot of catching up to do. I used alot of his stuff with Froyo Liberty and stock. Maybe I'll check the app out for S's and G's

He has a whole section of GB specific items and is working to specify if items are GB, Froyo or both.

i created the app, I have updated most of the files that need to be modified for Gingerbread...

When you open the app, make Choose Categories then choose Gingerbread Devices

The 1X section was just added, working on 3G next,
Already added to the Gingerbread section is: BlurHome Docks, BlurHome Indicators, Notification Bars, WiFi Notifications, SIgnal Notifications

The battery icons will work from froyo, same with Notification backgrounds, etc..

It will have full Gingerbread support by the end of the week

I am assuming that they are speaking about Metamorph, it has nothing to do with the DroidPirate site but users has connected the two as the same, if I am mistaking can someone explain where this app is posted..

What I have found was that the GB area usually was items from a GB theme made to give Froyo the GB look but hasn't been created specifically for GB.

Each version of GB had a different file structure and the files are not named or located in the same location to be able to use any theme for any version of GB... So unless the files specify the version number of GB installing any files created before that version is a shot in the dark.

Hmm, interesting I didnt realize that this app exist.. Thanks dor the info but it looks like its not really Gingerbread ready just yet..

Please do not buy this app, this is my app. Justin Ide simply decompiled it with apk tool and changed the urls. If you don't believe me check out the images I posted below. I worked hard on this app not for him to flat out decompile it and sell it for his own profit. It's crazy how he think he can sell my work for money and not so much as credit me. Please do not buy or support this app.
