Drop down notification???

Any pixel 3 owners have finicky drop down notification using the fingerprint sensor?

I have turned it on in settings. I do have a case on it but am being pretty deliberate about swiping it with my finger. My original Pixel (with, admittedly, a bumper case) was never finicky and always worked.

Yes, I have this problem and many sites have identified this problem. It takes two or more tries swiping the FPS to bring down the notifications. This is my second 3XL and have the same problem with or without the case.

This is my first pixel phone and have no issues with it, if I'm deliberate it always comes down. But I can't compare to other phones as I came from an iPhone.

Initially it used to happen but then I kind of adjusted the way I pull down. Start from the case just above the fingerprint and pull down on the fingerprint, it works all the time now.

yeah I have the problem on mine also , I've always had mine off but when i tried more then a few times to finally swipe notification down. It went back off as I don't use it but it is a problem .

I find that it's not as responsive as my 2XL.

I mentioned the same in another thread. I'm wondering if it's intentional, to cut down on accidental swipes/opens. Like I mentioned previously, some people were complaining the fingerprint sensor was too quick and/or too sensitive, so perhaps Google did it to appease them.

If it was intentional it's probably for what Google thinks is a good reason. However, you can't please everyone. Anyway, it doesn't really bother me. I just started paying attention after reading this thread.

My 2XL was alot more responsive than my 3 with the swipe down. Seems like you have to be precise with the 3.

That's the rub. One group complains and they try to fix it. Then another group complains about the fix. The best is to try and find a happy medium, easier said than done.

Now to be clear I'm not saying this is what happened, only my speculation as to why it's happening. It could be they went to another manufacturer for the fingerprint sensor.

I had mine off....just tried it and responsive as all hell breaking loose.

Even i had the same problem with it but when i swiped hardly it worked. Try swiping hardly it would be responsive.
