CNET had a recent article pointing out the differences in the terms of service agreements that are used by these three cloud storage solutions. If the CNET article is correct, I would be very careful of using Google Drive because of their terms. According to the article by Rafe Needleman, Google claims a worldwide license to use and modify any material stored on Drive. I'm not sure whether I'm allowed to link to the article in the forum, but a simple search will bring it up for you. I'm also not a lawyer, but the contrast between the three terms of service seem pretty significant. Perhaps I'm just paranoid.
My rule of thumb is that if you don't mind someone seeing your pictures or files, then use a Cloud. I use BOX and Dropbox. I only store pictures there. I would never store anything personal (SSN, Birth Certificates, sensitive documents). I know they are suppsedly secure and blah blah.....yeah, that is what banks say and then you get an email saying "someone broke into our system".
I have a 1TB external drive to back up everything. If I know I am going to need a particular file, I will throw it on my thumbdrive and take it with me...heck, I will throw it on my TBolt. The problem with that is unless you encrypt it and you lose the drive, whatever is on there is available to anyone. Best bet is to get one of the USB drives that you put on your keychain.
I am old school. I come from the APPLE IIc era and the PC Jr.....I am not as trusting to the cloud as the youth are today.
Google has the most Secure servers in the World!!!
Ok with that said I use them all with several accounts to Max out the gigs:thumbup:. I don't care really about pass codes. Lol. I know some people do though. Be smart and you can have unlimited storage. Hey why not?

I'm always on!
I am using both right now also. Been a dropbox user now for a while, and I gotta say, I havent used a usb drive since! and dont miss it 1 bit! One of the most used and depended on Apps I have next to google maps.
Yeah I signed up for Google docs which is now Drive, but am wondering how secure this is going to be for storing documents with SSNs or tax related information -- but these items really need to be backed up. How many of you are storing this kind of thing in the cloud?
What is Googles position on Porn? Is any one storing Porn in the cloud?...Not that I have a lot to store but I am just wondering.
