Do you need to download the paid version of Docs To Go to be able to edit Excel spreadsheets you've uploaded from your PC to Dropbox?

I discovered after the original post that Quickoffice Pro is about the same thing as Docs To Go but costs less, any feedback from users of these apps?

I've used both, and prefer Docs To Go - it opens some of my pdf files that Quickoffice would not, and has a better user interface.
