Dropbox not preinstalled

Were we not promised 25 g of dropbox storage? I can't find dropbox preinstalled on my HTC One. That was one of the determining factors for me to get the phone. I did read that the Zoe's would take up a lot of space, but I rationalized that with the (supposed) fact that we were getting some free storage. Am I just missing it somewhere?

If we use google play do we have to pay for it? The directive was that it had to be pre-installed.

ATT didn't do this offer last years with the One X. Figure its the same this year.

It's not HTC's fault AT&T removed Dropbox from there version. But yeah, that does suck.

i didnt go through the initial setup screens when i first got my phone. i unlocked the bootloader first then installed a ROM with dropbox included and i got 23 GB.

Odd. Are you sure it was for the One and not the One X? I don't ever remember seeing Dropbox on the One's microsite .

The Sprint HTC One it appears will have the dropbox promo. Page 160 of the Sprint specific user guide outlines how to set it up.

My phone is an unlocked UK version and I downloaded Dropbox from the play store and now have about 26gb on there, free for two years. You have to set up the account from a HTC device and then complete certain tasks like installing it on another device and sharing a photo.
