Dropped calls on Straight Talk (AT&T)

Grabbed a nexus 5 a bit ago, been playing with it on straight talk. I have H or LTE around me. I'm getting some pretty regular dropped calls, even with full bars. I don't think I've had a call drop in years on Verizon.

I sort of can't roll with that as I use my phone for work and can't keep hanging up on clients. Any idea if this might be isolated, bad luck, or should I abandon my plan to leave verizon?
 
I use an ATT sim with Net10 which is TracFone (as is Straight Talk). Just in the past week or so I have been experiencing nothing but dropped calls and texts not going through. I'm not sure what has caused the change, but I've used Net10 for over a year on this sim and it's been excellent. I'm wondering if ATT is doing this intentionally to push the users to their own service. That's all I can figure unless it's renegotiation time between TracFone and ATT. But if it's an ATT "dirty trick", it may push me to Verizon and a different brand phone. Despite what the maps say, I can't get other carriers out where I am to work consistently. Sadly, I LOVE my Nexus phone. :(
