I have processed claims through Assurion before and there is always a deductible. When they did not have my exact phone to offer as a replacement I was always able to trade up. However nothing is higher than s21 ultra 512gb. So Assurion may offer a cash pay out of actual cash value minus $249 deductible if they do not have a 512gb ultra to offer in replacement.
From you description of the drop sounds like your screen and digitizer is damaged and that may cost more than just a glass screen replacement.
I would just go through Assurion cause that is what it is there for. Unless they say your plan does not cover drops.
With Assurion different tier of coverages and cost that was the reason I stopped paying for phone insurance. You can also check with home insurance to see if it covers your phone.

I was told the screen comes with the digitizer and that it is fixable with a new screen so that is what I am praying happens cause I really want my phone back and not one that I have to re-set up all over again even though I did a backup. I am lost without it though.

Yesterday I took my Chromebook to work and I use FB Messenger alot anyways so I used it all day. I thought I could still text from my PC windows companion but not if I don't have my phone. And I forgot I am using google messages now and thought I could message from chrome browser but don't know if it's the same where I need my phone but I never set this new phone up you have to scan this QR code. So I guess I am stuck waiting one more day. Tomorrow at noon it's supposed to be ready.

Thanks! I was going to stop in there before work but Asurion was so sure if the screen wasn't cracked the pixelated lines a new screen wouldn't fix it. But yeah thanks! I was either going to call them or stop in there before work. Either way it's just a pain to have to reset up another phone. Yes I back up and will restore but settings and all my apps and fingerprint I use.

Does anyone know about Zagg protectors since I dropped the phone and it's damaged in a few places is that covered under warranty? My husband took it off the phone to see if their was a crack in this one spot and their wasn't just a little spot looks like black paint from the impact by the lines.

On many of these new phones the display, digitizer and screen are all fused together. Could be different for these new phones. Sounds like you already went the insurance route, so its a moot point.

No I ended up going to the U Break it we fix it place and they said it's under warranty and told me it that it's all together the screen and digitizer and display and that it's covered so I am not using insurance now. But I'll see tomorrow when I go to pick up the phone. Insurance tried saying it wasn't just the screen that it was something else the place I took it too said different.

ubreakifix is an official SAMSUNG warranty location. They use SAMSUNG components. I had my wife's old S9+ repaired there a year or so ago. looked new again.

That's what I thought they are a Samsung Warranty place. I am headed out to get it here shortly. Than it's off to the Zagg Kiosk. I did pay a lot for my protector and I think it's just 10 bucks and they put it on. I am just hoping everything turned out ok. I guess I need to get off the computer here and finish getting ready so I can go get it.

OMG! You just don't know 1st time I've ever had this problem since I've owned a cell phone. And I have been lost without it for 2 days. But mostly just worried cause I work 2nd shift and driving home at 11 at night if something were to happen you know.

I've been using my Chromebook alot the past couple days. I will be very pleased once I get there and know it's all good and they did fix it. I would hate to get there and them say oh sorry we couldn't fix it. They did that to my husband on his S10 Plus he had to send it back to Samsung for a new motherboard.

So I go to get my phone and I am told the Samsung Warranty Services or something was down he said he left me a message I never got it. He said I am almost done repairing it and then will have to run some test and test it can you come back around 6 or 630 if it's earlier I'll call you. So I have a message around 5:30 saying it's done running test now will take 30 minutes by the time you come I should be done. I am 10 minutes away get there and am told to wait 20 minutes. Than he tells me he is waiting on Samsung to do something finally the test were done. He had a chat going with Samsung and they had to approve something I don't know. I had to be somewhere at 6:30 they closed at 7.

Finally he says ok were good they wouldn't approve this and we have to do this I still don't know but they pissed off my husband before but anyway now he says it's just a matter of waiting to hear from Samsung again. Finally at 6:45 he says oh I am sorry but they say we have a corrupted bianary file amd they want us to download it again and run test om your phone again. It made no sense he said he ran the test and was done. But he said the download of the bianary file takes 2 hours they were closing. He let me use my phone to let my friends no I was going to be late for dinner. I was so aggravated I stormed out and left. I left them a message to call me tomorrow when they know I can come in there get my phone and leave this time. I don't know what's going on. I hope I get it tomorrow! He said he tested it and was done then all of a sudden they had corrupted files and Samsung wouldn't let them give it to me I don't get it.

Wish me luck tomorrow!

Thanks! I just got a call it's ready and I said are you sure so when I get there I can leave with my phone. LOL! I'm lost without it! Last night I met my friend for dinner who was in town and couldn't take pictures. But I'm headed to get here in a bit.

Yes, I got it back and it is fine I am so happy. I just need to get a screen protector put back on. I paid enough for Zagg so I am going there for a warranty replacement I guess. But Asurion was supposed to put my claim on hold. And they just left me a message about sending me a reimbursement check because they can't get my phone minus the deductible. So now I am trying to get a hold of them.

But yes I am good and didn't have to pay. I missed a call from them and I can't get back through to them. I know I tried to cancel the claim on-line and it wouldn't let me but I just went to the site and their was an option to resume claim so maybe it is on hold. I just finally got through to someone and I just said I need to cancel my claim it ended up being covered by Samsung and is fixed. So I am good to go now. I am so happy it got fixed and no charge and I have my own phone and didn't have to worry about setting it back up.

What a palaver! So glad you got it fixed at no cost.

How's that new screen looking? Get your protector installed?

It's all good I'm so happy! Ready I just went the Zagg route since I paid so much for it. $10 for a replacement and they put it on. So I'm all good. Thanks for asking I just love this phone and was so upset.
