Dropping phone

I have a Samsung galaxy s4 and today yes I dropped it from face level onto the ground (it was carpet) and And I do have a speck candy shell case on it. Will this slow down my phone? Give me that unwanted lag?

I don't think it will slow down your phone, but if it does, I highly suggest giving the phone some rest. Sounds like it was a rough fall and you should take it easy on the poor fellow.
