Question DUAL SIM setting resets after phone is turned off and on again

Hello everyone.
I have a Motorola Edge 50 Ultra phone with a nano-sim and an e-sim.
I set the preference for calls on the nano-sim but every time I turn it off and on and restart it, the setting always changes to "always ask".
The setting for messages remains correctly set and remains after the restart.
Has the same thing happened to anyone?
As much as I've looked on the web, I haven't found an effective solution.
I reset the cache and data of the phone app but I'm not sure that's the one that manages the setting I'm interested in.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you regularly shutting the phone down completely? If so, is there a reason? Most of the time, all you need to do is let the phone sleep (but not power it off completely).

Hi and thanks for reply.
Yes, I could leave my phone on all days yes but that wouldn't be a solution to my problem, would it be?
I mean, when I setup a personalization in a Windows pc (as an example), my personalization won't go away after reboot or when I shutdown the pc and the start it again next day. This is my third dual SIM phone and this is the very first time I have to set my SIM preferences for calls everytime I need or I want to shutdown the phone.

So again, apart from leaving my phone always on, is there anything I can do to keep my settings about SIM preference for calls?

Sorry, it's hard for me to say for sure why the phone is behaving like that. I don't have that specific model, so I can't test it. You could try contacting Moto support: https://en-us.support.motorola.com/app/mcp/contactus. Another option is to post on Lenovo's own forum for Moto, but in my experience with my Lenovo Duet 3, the Lenovo forums aren't very helpful: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Motorola-Community/ct-p/MotorolaCommunity
