Dumb camera question

I have a note 3 and use google camera. I've used the remote shop app from the play store, but don't like it a lot. The other day I fired up my camera and my 360 popped up a button to take a picture. Plain, just a circle thing you put to take a picture. I tried it a few times and every time I would open up google camera on my phone, that circle popped up on the 360. Then it just stopped.
I liked the feature, but have no idea what it is or what activated it. It won't anymore. I know the moto camera app has that feature, but I don't think I have that app downloaded. Any ideas?

it's a 'remote' for the camera on your Galaxy Note 3 in the Moto 360 being the remote...
Next time take a screenshot of it, you can do it with Android wear app or the Motorola app on your Note 3

I did read where it's supposed to be if you open google camera on the phone, it does a notification on the 360 asking if you want to take a picture. That is what it was doing, but stopped for some reason.

Silly troubleshooting tips but have you restarted both devices? Also, not sure if it matters between stock camera on the phone or downloaded app. Mine works every time, but I have a Motorola phone so that may matter.
