Duo camera effects after update

After updating the gallery app through the play store my At&t M8 can not do duo camera effects on any new photo taken. Anytime I try to press ufocus or any of the duo options it says can not use duo effects on this photo.. I can uninstall the gallery update to stock and take the exact same photo and it works fine... Anyone else with this problem.

Seems to be working normally on my M8 HK Ed on Sprint...

I've updated the gallery app on my phone and my wife's M8 and any new photo taken can't use duo effects. We're still on 4.4.2 on AT&t, I wonder if that's the problem.

Having exactly the same issue on my HTC M8 4.4.2 AT&T- after updating the gallery app duo effects doesn't work anymore.
I hope they'll take care of it at the next update.

If you want the stock gallery all just go to settings-apps-all-gallery and select uninstall updates

Only had my M8 for about 2 weeks. And it to stop taking Duo Effect photos after doing a series of app updates. I thought some else was wrong with it. Glad to see I am not an isolated incident and that HTC realizes their problem and updates to debug soon. Don't need the feature but it was nice to have and bugs me to supposed to have something and it not work.

Yeah, normally I don't mind problems like this but we're coming into a time of the year where I'd like to use these features for pictures of my family.. Hope it gets resolved by Christmas and new years.

Why are you still on 4.4.2?!, as 4.4.4 is already out for the M8, that unless AT&T still didn't push the update to their users!

That didn't change anything, duo effects still don't work. It's not related to the gallery I don't think, it won't work on any photos from anywhere. I used it once immediately after taking a pic, but haven't been able to use it since on my AT&T HTC One M8 with 4.4.2. Is there an app that work for good photo editing? Obviously the phone app sucks.

Lollipop isn't available yet and I don't want stock android as its pretty boring..I like sense.

I'm having the same issue & at first I thought there was something wrong with the camera & since it's still under warranty I had AT&T on the phone for over an hour trying to trouble shoot with no resolution, they even sent out a replacement phone. Needless to say I come to find it that as soon as the gallery update hit my phone the duo effect feature stopped working. I've contacted HTC & they say that they're aware of it & all I can do for now is uninstall the update.

I also have the AT&T HTC One M8 and having the same problem. You're right, the one time of the year that you want to really use the editing features and they don't work. Go figure.

I updated the gallery app on 12-26 and now everything works! It looks like they fixed it.
