Duplicate Contacts on Mesmerize

I have a Samsung Mesmerize phone through US Cellular.

I've had the phone for about a month and keeps getting duplicate contacts (like 5 of this person, 7 of another) - even after I link them together!!

I'm syncing contacts from my corporate email and my phone, plus the gmail account that my provider had me setup. But I need the duplicates to stop. I know when I first got my phone the US Cellular salesman had an aweful time that syncing my Palm to the Mesmerize and I had to have a gal in our office setup the Exchange email function (because the salesman couldn't figure that out at the store).

Any advice would be most appreciated

I'm by no means an expert but do you have duplicate contacts between your gmail, corporate email, and your phone? Maybe that has something to do with it?

You're going to need your Gmail account for certain features on your device. Maybe you could turn off sync contacts for the one's you don't need. Just saying.

Also if you have them duplicated in GMail itself, you can have GMail merge the duplicates as well.
