duplicate contacts

I'm using DejaOffice and Companion link on apc and my galaxy S5. when i synch it gives me duplicates in the contact folder (not deja office contacts, those are fine). two quesitons: How do i stop that and how do i edit a droid contact. I can edit the deja office contacts but not the droid contacts. i know it's a user error just not sure where to start looking.

Not sure if this will help or not, but it cleaned up my Outlook and Google dupes.
