Duplicated text messages on my Motorola Dext

Hello to all, I'm just a newbie in the Android world and I have a problem with duplicated text messages: I receive a message twice (or I see the same message notified two times).

I have a Motorola Dext who I bought already flashed to Android 2.1.

There is a way to solve this issue?

Do you have an alternate SMS app installed? If you install Go SMS, for instance, and use it instead of the standard Messaging app you will get notifications from both apps.

If that's the case, to disable it you will need to open the stock Messaging app and press the menu button on the phone. Select Settings then scroll down to where it says Notifications. Uncheck the Notifications box and you are all set.

If you only have the stock app then I'm not sure what the problem is.

It used to happen to me too...it's a problem with 2.1 and 2.2, it just does it randomly, I don't know why.
