I love to watch Zach torture phones lol. I'm glad to see how well built the 3a is, I might be picking one up as a backup phone for my wife. She always puts her phones in wallet cases, so it should last her forever ;-)

Plastic phones may not be "premium" but they are fairly durable. I know there are exceptions (looking at you Nextbit Robin) but overall they aren't susceptible to the same things as glass phones such as cracking/shattering

I think the home button is virtually indestructible.

That "premium" term means absolutely nothing in my book. Durability is the key.... Moto had it right prior to Lenovo when they made Kevlar backed phones. Not only were they durable....grippy too. Right not I have a ceramic backed phone which is more durable than against drops than glass but I still keep it in a case.

I've used this phone for a week since switching carriers. The only thing I can think of is too much heat in my work truck.

I think that would do it with a plastic body. I use a vent holder so mine is always near some a/c, so I hope that will work to my advantage.

Mine was like that when I got it. I laid it down on the table and you can rock it a little. Not a big deal though.
