hi all, i never had an android phone and am looking to shop for one for my mother who has a small business with a dvr-camera system at her store...my question is will this phone be able to connect to the dvr-camera system so she can view the cameras on her phone? Is there an app that allows that? I don't know much, but i heard this phone doesn't have flash player? Does that affect it? By the way, the dvr is hooked up to the internet and she is able to view the camera system from home on her computer, but she would like a phone where she will be able to view it on as well...she has a blackberry storm right now and it did not work..thank you!

It really depends on the camera manufacturer and whether or not your cameras are IP connected. IP Cam Viewer supports most cameras and I know that my Uncle's SpecoTech cameras work just fine with their proprietary software on his Droid X.

Android 2.2 phones do play flash. If she can view the camera feed online, it should work through the web browser on the phone as long as the page shows the video in flash format.

yes, the cameras are all hooked up to this dvr device which is connected to the internet via static IP...is that IP cam viewer the app that allows it to connect to the ip? so would it work for this phone as it works for the droidx? thanks
