DX Lock Screen

My sister just got a Droid X and loves it so far. She asked me how to change the lock screen saying from " This phone belongs to ---" to something different. I tried looking through the phone and couldn't find anything. Is there something in settings that I might have missed?

I tried searching the forums and couldn't find anything for what I wanted. There were only threads about changing the Verizon banner.

I've never seen this phone belongs to on a lock screen before. It does say Verizon wireless and that can be changed with some magic in the framework.

If you figure out how to change that (I've never seen it either), let us know. Sounds like a fun thing to have available. If I remember correctly, you could put something personalized on a BlackBerry's home/lock screen ... but not on the X as far as I know.

the only workaround that I have found so far is Widget Locker, and the Owner Info widgets both available for free in the market.
The only down side is that since the 2.2 update there is no way to turn off the stock locker. So you will either have two slide lockers or one slide and password locker depending on how you configure your security settings, or possibly all three YMMV.

I do not take credit for this, someone else on the forum answered the same question for me a few months back.

I looked around the net and found nothing. I did notice some people wanted to add that to lock screen and it was done with a anti virus app. See what apps she has cause that might be why. If so then in the app im sure you can turn it off.

Mine shows that screen when I have the "alarm clock" app running. Not sure how to change the settings on the owner name though, cant find it in any of the settings in the app itself.

The stock alarm clock? Mine just shows the time its set for. Weird. Surprised more are not jumping in on this to see what's up.

Not the stock one, its an app called alarm clock.
