DX vibe options

Is there a way to adjust or set the vibe for messages?
Right now it just vibes; I would like to be able to set up my DX the way my BB was. Short, multiple vibes for SMS and long vibes for email. Anyone know if this is possible or of a third party app that will help?

not with the stock settings, need a 3rd party app, not sure which app does phone/text/email i know some allow you to configure txt. and im not sure about the vibrate.

You can set it to vibrate for sms and emails, just go to sms then menu, settings. As for setting how much vibration for each, that would take a 3rd party app.

Thanks fellas! Anyone have any thoughts on 3rd party apps that will do the trick? I have tried a few with no luck.

Handcent SMS is a third party app that will let you customize the vibration settings for your SMS. Don't know about email, but at least with handcent installed it would be easy to make the SMS vibe be different than the stock email vibe. Handcent has several different vibe patterns, plus a custom option that lets you input the number of milliseconds on and off for however many vibes you want.
One caveat, I think it does create a small delay in sending and receiving texts. Not long, but may be noticeable if you are a power text user. That is just my observation, don't know if the delay has been documented...
