Greetings:

I am a new HTC One convert (after years of iPhone) and seem to be having difficulty getting my personal e-mail account to work correctly on my new HTC One. I have been through set-up with my e-mail vendor and even tried an e-mail app -- but for some reason I can only see the e-mail headers if the e-mail is anything other than plain text. Plain text displays fine. Anything else is just empty whit space. I have been through adjusting the file size in the settings but nothing seems to work. I am using SmarterMail Enterprise 11.2 for my personal e-mail and set it up on my device via IMAP. All my other accounts, Gmail, Yahoo, etc. display correctly on my new device.

I love this device but this issue is driving me a nuts and no one (at least anyone I have spoken to so far) seems to know why this is happening. Any advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Have you considered trying two different things. The firsrt is to delete the personal email and set it up again but this time as a POP3 just to see if it makes a difference?

You need to be careful using the POP protocol as it may remove all your email from the server. This is something you want to avoid if at all possible.

Thanks Jag. I tried POP but no luck. I only have the option of POP, APOP, and IMAP as protocols.

I actually was able to finally figure it out with a bit of trial and error and port manipulation. I did end up using the POP option but had to manipulate the outgoing port. It shouldn't have to be this hard but I still am 100% sold on my HTC One. Thanks for the advice everyone.
