from recovery, the the install zip from sd option is where you will end up quite often, this is where it all beings....

i placed kravens cm7.zip onto my sd card
i placed google apps on my sd card

do i need to extract them on my sd card or will they be fine as zip files?

leave as zips.. you install in recovery... be sure to clear cache and data..also done in recovery

ok,,,,i just tried for the 6th time and i finally rebooted into recovery and its backing up now....
dont know why it took so many tries....
it did say however that there was no sd-ext found,,,skipping backup of sd-ext.
then says generating md5 sum...
backup complete..

now what ???? lol

Skipping sd-ext is normal. That means you do not have software telling phone to use sd card as internal storage like I am. Again that is normal for you and everyone not running a data2ext mod.

Sorry I've been away for a while with this tool. Here are the new updates to come:

Update all files
Root ZVH
Do some major debugging and view my program from every perspective
Make it multi-platform
Completely re-design the GUI (yes again)
Make it so you dont have to keep pressing buttons, just watch for 1 prompt
Clean up a lot of the code
Kernel installer
Build Prop tweaker
LCD Density changer
Model changer
And a lot more

Now obviously all these changes aren't all going to come at once, they'll be gradual. I'll start with the main and most requested ones first, such as root ZVH and fix some of the code. Its been a while, but I'm back with a vengeance.

Hey guys

wondering if I could ask about flashing, and rooting an Optimus S thats on ZVD
right now, I'm running reborn 2.2.4 on it now, and its rooted.

My problem is the usb wont connect to a computer, I can charge the phone ok
but I am unable to get in to adb shell from any usb device.

I think something screwed up with the last update I did, and I lost USB

is there anyway to flash to the latest release, with my evo 4g all the updates are via zip file
just go to recovery, wipe, and flash a new rom.

anything like that for the optimus s.
