Hey all,

Couldn't find anything on this in a search so thought I'd make a thread. When i connect my ear buds to the GS3 I get an icon and a new set of options in the notification bar. It shows i'm connected to my headphones with a bunch of useless apps for me to choose from. Anyone know how you can edit these to get some apps that I actually use or to get rid of the prompt altogether? I really don't care for it. I am rooted if that helps.

those apps are apps that are able to be used with the headphones...haven't seen anything about changing those or if that is even possible

You can disable the notification by disabling the application in Settings. Look for ContextAwareServices in the "All" listing of the Application Manager, and set it to Disabled. Haven't noticed any other side effects other than the notification is gone.

Root not required, not sure about changing the applications in the notification. I'll keep digging around and will repost if I find anything.

You don't even need to disable the app. Just go to settings / Accessory and uncheck the "Audio applications" option.
