Earpiece mic issue

As you can read from the tittle. There is almost no sound coming from the top speaker only rattling and muffled sounds can be heard if I put my finger on the bottom speaker. I didn't dropped my phone it's been a year since I bought it but the problrm just started yesterday. Is the speaker destroyed or maybe the grill needs cleaning? Sweat does goes into the grill sometimes when it's in my pocket. Can the sweat harm the speakers? It's water resistant tho. Please help. earpiece speaker issue* in tittle

It could be a number of things. Are you in construction? If IBeams are being drilled, there's a lot of iron dust in the air, and it tends to load speakers and earphones. That can be cleaned (with a small screwdriver, believe it or not) , but it takes a technician to open the phone to get to it.

Do you take the phone into the bathroom when you take a shower? The steam can ruin the earpiece.

Sweat, if there's enough of it, can definitely ruin an earpiece.

Or it could just have gone bad.
