EB01 Q&A and Observations Thread

Is anyone else getting DRM notifications after the Froyo update? I just manually loaded two pictures from my pc to the phone and sure enough I get 2 DRM notifications. They just clear buy why??????

I was getting that in DL30, but I haven't seen it in EB01.

Can someone please chime in on whether it's worthwhile to do this EB01 if the DL30 is doing fine? I'm really concerned about loosing Google search using the softkey.

First thanks to droidxcon for developing eb01.....haven't been this happy since my wedding night! And in true "never satisfied fashion" I have noticed my battery draining at a much faster rate. Reading about resetting battery but I can't seen to find exactly how to do this.....any help woud be appreciated.

Go for the EB01. You will not regret it. I have the Google search working fine with my search key on both mine and my wife's phone. Used the directions in this link step 3:

Just rename the Bing apk and Google will magically work. Don't ask me how the system is smart enough to find Google when Bing is gone.

Please be a little patient when asking questions and don't ask the same question in multiple threads. There is a lot going on in these forums and there are a lot of people asking questions. Good thing is there are a lot of people here willing to help in any way they can. This site and these forums are the best thing since peant butter and jelly in the same jar. Everyone here is amazing and every user contributes however they can. I have only been rooting for less than a month now and I'm no rocket scientst. So you will catch on. Happy Froyo to you.

I loaded the full version of EB01 and can no longer get my Exchange email and calender to sync. The account setup successfully validates the settings. However, there is no email or calendar entries displayed. It was setup with Wi-Fi off. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Me too. In fact my exchange server wont connect at all. requires some kind of extra password encryption that i guess EB01 doesn't support. I had to flash back to DLI0 the OTA to EA28. Does anyone have a solution?
