Ecg working on a non Samsung phone

I was reading in the pixel forums that the pixel owners say that Samsung health will only work in a Samsung device anyone finding this true. Looking at the pixel but need the ecg function for myself.

That is true, but there is a workaround. Worked perfectly for me. I have the GW5 pro and Pixel 5. This process should work for any GW4 or 5, and most Android phones.

Yes. Both ECG and BP work perfectly on my GW5 and Pixel 5. Basically, this process installs a version of the Samsung Health Monitor that makes the watch believe it's paired with a Samsung phone.
