So has anyone seen an ed04 update? I may just have missed it but I watched a phone download two updates that both ended up in ed 04.

Yeah I am running ED04 as we speak. There are several threads with info on it. Here is one with just the modem odin packages. [MODEM][ODIN][CWM]DL09, EA28, ED01, ED03, ED04 modems without ridiculous 100MB OTAs

So has anyone seen an ed04 update? I may just have missed it but I watched a phone download two updates that both ended up in ed 04.
Two phones have got the OTAs here and I have been monitoring to see if the promise of no lost phone calls (voice mail and no missed call) actually comes to fruition.. Thus far.. I have read this is not the case. I have not had it running long enough to support or deny. I am running just the radio and CommROM 2.0..
I have had no missed calls that led to random voicemails and no one really telling me that it happened either.
I flashed the ED04 last night with no issues and it seems to be just fine...for now
Is it possible to get the OTA while being rooted? Will it just take me back to stock or brick my phone?
flash DL09 in odin - reboot - flash the DL09 to ED04 zip file in CWMR - reboot - enjoy ED04 modem
If you are only rooted, you should be able to get the OTA. If you modified the stock in anyway it will fail (removed bloat). If you flashed a different rom, it will fail.
You will lose root and go back to stock after you do the OTA
So can I do these steps starting from CR1.3/ED03 without going to stock first? Thanks in advance.

Yes, I did them while running CR 2.0 and had no issues. Didn't even lose root as others have reported.
Did the DL09 to EDo4 modem upgrade on Thursday or Friday i think. On CR2.0.
STILL missed calls. Not happy. Im seriously thinking of having VZW send me a Droid X. I'm tired of this issue, missing more than a few phone calls and people are getting annoyed at me. It's not fun when your g/f thinks you're ignoring her. I'm going to record my next "ignoring" conversation with her and play it for the VZW rep that receives my call on Monday =P

I don't think this is related to the Fascinate. I have coworkers on different phones and they are experiencing the same issues..

Agreed. It isn't linked solely to the Fascinate. Many speculate this has to do with the switch to LTE

Verizon tried to give me a Droid X - lasted for 3 days. 7 missed calls, so no better than before. Back to my fascinate, actually seems better plus I like this phone WAY more. This is the reason I got it in the first place.
