Rogers Galaxy S8 Edge Lighting Duration

Is there a setting to change the duration of the edge lighting? As it only flashes for a couple seconds and then stops even with the phone face down. This is mainly regarding when a text message comes in the edge lighting flashes for a couple seconds then stops, but the Led light continues to flash which is what I thought Edge lighting was supposed to do?

Yeah, the Edge lighting seems like a gimmick in its current state. What are the odds that you're actually looking at your phone for that second or two where it's flashing?

It's a little better since the update the other day where you can make it wider. You *may* be able to catch it out if the corner of your eye now.

Hopefully they update it to where you can set it to go off every few minutes.

My edge lighting is spotty at best. With the 6 apps I currently have activated so far it's worked only half the time. Also my LED notification light doesn't work now. Weird.

There is a slider for turning off the LED notifications, perhaps you hit it accidentally?

Would be nice to have edge lighting pulse for a set duration, and be able to customize by contact.

Maybe with enough comments here, Samsung might get the clue. It's useless now with a nano flash. The edge lighting duration needs to be adjustable.
