My edge lighting effects are set up but do not work at all (except in demo mode when setting them up).

Does anyone know if LightFlow Legacy might be responsible? Light Flow controls the led flawlessly so I'm not going to shut it off but I really like edge lighting.

It might be possible that app is causing issues with edge lighting

If I do shut off LightFlow does edge lighting remain on indefinitely or only a brief time then shut off? I like how led notifies until i actually see it.

It will flash for few seconds, but you have option to always flash for notifications meaning with screen on or off , or just notifications with screen off . It's in the settings when you go display>edge lighting toggle it on and go through the edge settings.

Is there any way to lengthen edge lighting duration? Mine lasts less than a second and only when a message comes in. I have all apps chosen yet no other app does it, not even stock email nor gmail

My guess is tMobile is the key because some other people have shown me that screen from oreo. Maybe only the unlocked version lacks the duration feature. Thanks anyway. A small price to pay to avoid one ui.
