Edit/ Deleting Contacts?

So, I have just received my new phone and I just added a few contacts. I messed up on a couple of the contacts and I was wondering how to delete/edit the contacts. Thank you.

Welcome to the forums.
Depending on the device, after clicking on the contact, there might be an edit icon (looks like a pencil) toward the top, or click menu (probably at the upper right) and click edit.

Sometimes long pressing the contact would bring up the delete option

you can also go to your gmail on a pc and you can edit them from there
