Editing contacts & unlinking facebook

I know there are threads already about how to edit your contact list. Most I have also seen some having the same issues as I am.

When I hit the people button from my home screen I am taken to a huge list. I want some of these deleted & not showing up at all.

When I hit menu then delete, the people I want to delete are now not in the list I'm looking at.

Problem seems to do with linking your contacts with facebook.

How to I unlink my contacts? I have no clue. I've only had my phone a week.



I have tried to delete the facebook app but it keeps coming back. I tried deleting a few apps & they all keep coming back.

You can do this to eliminate getting your Facebook contacts in your people app. Open your contacts and hit menu>view> then make sure Google contacts is the only one checked.

People > Menu > View. Uncheck Facebook to hide all facebook contacts.

To unlink a specific FB contact from a gmail contact, go to that contact in People. At the top of the contact, click the "Linked" icon in the top-right. Click to link/unlink the the FB/Google accounts.
