EE and Voice Data Roaming issue

My phone with EE worked fine in USA and Croatia but not in Montenegro. It won't connect to a carrier but will find 3 when search but all have red Xs against them.

Have done soft reboot and called support who think bad SIM but don't get that.

Have also switched off 4g but still nothing.

Any ideas appreciated.

Are you sure the phone that you have has the correct frequency bands to work on their networks?

Hope so. In Europe using Uk SIM and htc one m8. Was ok in neighbouring Croatia.

Support didn't say an issue and partner using Uk iPhone OK on Telenor network.

Edit. Checked web site and seems fineb re bandwidth.

Does your phone have any special network modes? My Flex has 4-5, I leave it in 'global' all the time. Can you believe a Sprint phone is letting me select GSM Only? Keeps phantom towers from jacking your signal AND it saved a little battery when I tried it. But all roaming minutes :/

I have tried all modes and still no connection. Have 4g 3g and 2g but nothing else with auto select.
