I know the title sounds strange, but bear with me.
I currently have a gmail account I run with my one gmail address. I also have an email address from live.com, which is more my 'junk' email address, where I do ordering from and other activities that would result in newsletters or other junk email. I run this email on Outlook Mobile.
What's happening is somehow the Gmail app is saving all the email addresses from the junk mail I received in my contacts. You know, all the noreply@thisjunkmailstore.com kind of addresses. I've checked and cannot find anywhere that is allowing this or any way I can stop it. I've checked under "manage contacts" - "Sync Contacts" and it's not showing that it's syncing from Outlook or my live address.
I've tried selecting to only show contacts from my gmail account, but it's still showing all the junk email addresses since it's being saved under my gmail address! I've also looked in my contacts list directly on my live.com email account on the web and those addresses aren't being saved there. So this is obviously happening because of some setting on my phone. I've used the contacts list from the gmail website to clean up my contacts list...a few times, and they all keep coming back.
I'd appreciate any suggestions. I'm about ready to just take that email address off my phone as it's not a critical address, but I'd rather not do that if i don't have to. There has to be SOMETHING I can do!
