My Samsung Galaxy S3 has quit alerting me when I receive emails. I have checked settings. Can't find anything wrong. Anyone with a solution. Only way I know I have new email is to hit the refresh button. Thanks.

Is it just the alert that doesn't work, or are the messages not being delivered to the device? What kind of email account is it; Gmail, yahoo, Exchange, etc? What app are you using for email; Gmail, stock email app, K9, etc?

Just the alert. Emails come up but I have to hit the refresh button. Email accounts are Microsoft Exchange, Bellsouth (Yahoo).

I am having this issue with Gmail, even though the Google account shows that gmail is selected to sync emails. Not sure this is an SIII issue though as my wife's Drod Incredible LTE is having the same issue. Spotty push notifications, where for instance I got a notification of 3 emails that are dated from yesterday but the notification didn't come till this morning. Obviously the Gmail update to allow notification bar replies and deleting does no good if you only get '4 new emails' once per day or every other day!

If it's the Gmail app, you can sometimes fix this by stopping the application then clearing data. you'll have to re-sync when you open the gmail app, but that usually gets the sync back and working correctly.
