Ok, so I've already had a few issues with my tablet that I got on the 4th of this month but it seems like as soon as I fix one issue then another one pops up. This all worries me so much since my 30 days are almost up and I love my tablet and dock and even though I have a protection plan I still don't want to be having to us it all the time for small things that are just annoying or things that are just issues with the tablet in general that I'd just have to deal with.
My main issue now is that My email Widget doesn't show when I have a new email. I haven't changed settings on it and of course I always have my phone on me and it used to be that when I'd get a new email both my Tablet and phone would show I had new mail right at the same time but now when my phone goes off over a new email while I'm on my tablet nothing pops up and I have to go to my mail and refresh it in order for it to show the new emails. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
Also, randomly when I open the tablet when it's docked the homepage will have nothing on it but the background and I have to hit the home button for it all to come back along with having the issue the other day when I powered it on 2 of my widgets were gone and I had to manually put them back and before that a few days ago it was being very slow while I was on the browser and I changed it to performance mode and it was still lagging and that was really the first time it had ever really done that then it crashed on me and went to the Asus start up screen but then just went black but was still on and after a few minutes of me kind of freaking out it finally let me restart it by holding down the power button for a good while. When it was done restarting it said I had an update so I'm not quite sure if crashed from the update or crashed and the update fixed it but so far it hasn't done it again.
My serial number starts with: C9 has anyone else had problems with their tablets that also start with that?

Sorry to hear of your problems and although I can't help as I don't have the knowledge, I hope it sorts out OK. I have been looking at these tablets but concerned about problems that keep cropping up and as you have problems with a C9 issue, it seems that it may be a bit dodgy to look at the 700T. I am going into a store tomorrow to compare the ipad 4 and the 700T, but you may have helped me lean towards iOS now. Thanks .

Would love to know how many people are in the UK who have made this choice for top end tablets, would be good to have a local group to chat with.

I was in the same place you are when I bought this tablet because I have an iPhone so it was down to this or an iPad but I loved the keyboard dock but I knew if I didn't like this one enough I could get a bluetooth keyboard for the iPad. If you already own an Apple product, switching to Droid can take some time but I knew that if I got a tablet this size I wanted a keyboard and get an iPad Mini later when the next generation comes out so they can fix whatever bugs it has since I know not to buy the first of anything when it comes to Apple but I'll use it for a smaller tablet in the future. Honestly, I wouldn't return this for the iPad even if it gives me issues and I return it because I'd rather save the money and wait for the bugs to be fixed or wait for something similar to come out. One thing that I had forgotten about when I got home was Swype! I was using my tablet without the dock and just typing normally and it sucked! Then I remembered that it had Swype and that's something you wont get with an iPad. Plus Asus has a better camera and has a flash and I was surprised the iPad didn't yet the iPhones do. I'll say this I bought mine from Best Buy and if you do the same with at least a 1 year protection plan take it home and play with it for 30 days and if you don't like it there's not a problem returning it and getting your money back on everything so what have you got to lose? That's what I did and I think I'm just nervous something will go wrong but at the same time I'm covered with my protection plan and plan on adding another year onto it before my 30 days are up because over all I really do love this Tablet and Keyboard Dock.

Have you installed the update to JellyBean? I haven't had any of the problems that you describe, although if the tablet has gone to sleep (when you close the dock) and then wakes up when you open it again, it may just be that the web page has expired, and needs to be refreshed. Most E-mail programs do log you out after a period of inactivity. Also, as far as the keyboard for the Infinity vs. iPad, Ii agree with you that the Inifinity is much better. The Infinity closes up nice and neat like a notebook and also has the extra battery and SD slot. The Apple keyboard is bluetooth, and a standard type that Apple makes for many products, such as its computers and so forth, so you have to lug it around separately.

I just updated it right after I posted that so I'm waiting to see if it makes any difference. Hopefully it does because I really don't want to give up on this Tablet.
I still haven't heard if anyone has ha any problems with any that's serial number starts with C9

My emails still don't pop up and I've checked the settings to make sure it set right and it should be. I just don't know what to do about it to fix it. Any ideas?

What type mail server (e.g POP, IMAP)? Is your phone email deleting message from server after it downloads? You may need to "leave copy on server for xx days" on your phone email settings.

Nope, I know that has nothing to do with it because it used to work just fine.

Just to test it, if you sign out of your email on your phone, do new emails pop up on your tablet? Maybe they only pop up on one device, and the phone is first if it's on. Just a guess but maybe you can try.

Are you using the gmail app? Some people are having trouble with it syncing. You could try a different email app from the Store. I use maildroid, but I know there are quite a few out there. I have no problems getting mail notifications.

No, I'm talking about the widget one that you can add all your email accounts to.

If that was the case then why did they used to pop up on hee and my phone and don't anymore?

On my email on my tablet it's IMAP...
Sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't.

I would suggest checking a couple things:

1. If your phone always works check to see which PORT it is using for incoming server and make sure your tablet is using the same. There are standard default ports for IMAP accounts but depending on your provider they may use a different port than the default like my provider.

2. Check your SSL setting. It is likely you don't need SSL and having it enabled will cause problems.

Have you tried to do a cold boot? That often clears stuff up if the tablet is acting up.

Turn off your tablet (shut it down)
Hold the Power and Volume DOWN keys simultaneously for at least 10 seconds or until the boot screen appears.
Let go of the keys and let it boot up.

This procedure clears various caches and gives your tablet a "fresh start". No data, apps or anything else is affected.
