Email and Text update

Samsung Note 3
Android Version: 5.0
Kernel: 3.4.0-4335446
Build: LRX21v.900AUCUE0c2
KNOX3.0

I use my Note 3 in the U.S. (ATT 4G) and in The Netherlands (Lebara 4G). For about 4 weeks now (in Amsterdam), my Note 3 will update email and text ONLY at the hotel (on hotel Wi-Fi). All other Apps (news apps, Facebook, Clash of Clans, etc.) will update everywhere. My email (gMail, Yahoo, Microsoft exchange) and texts (primarily WhatsApp) will only update when I am connected to the hotel WiFi.

Any ideas why my email and texts seem to be connected to the hotel Wi-Fi?

It sounds weird indeed. But I am not sure you are posting your question in the right place. You might get more feedback at the Note 3 forum, rather than here (Note 7 one)...

This isn't note 7 related but it sounds like your settings have it so that while on mobile data your apps are "restricted" in data mode to not eat up your roaming data charges. When you view your mobile data usage and settings look at your roaming data options along with any apps that have restrict data on. Hope that helps.
