After upgrading my stock ATT GS3 to JB a few days ago, the installed email app screen has a blue tint to the screen. Prior to JB it was considerably whiter. Have not noticed other issues with other apps and screen color is good other than the email app. Ideas?

Same here. After JB upgrade, when viewing emails in any account EXCEPT for gmail, the screen brightness is dimmed significantly. When I hit the back key, the screen brightness reverts to normal just before going back to the homescreen or inbox or wherever. Tweaking the display settings had no effect on this wonderful new behavior. Not catastrophic but it is annoying. Haven't seen this "screen dimming" thing on any other app.

Same here with the darkness on the email app. It is very annoying and it seems no way to change it.

Turn off the background color option in power saving mode. Fixed mine. Our you could just turn off power saving mode all together if you wanted.

It worked thanks.

Thank alot for the help and suggest to Turn off the background color option in power saving mode. I couldn't figure out how to get the screen not to look so dark on email.

Upgraded to V4.1.2 on Galaxy SII. Home page wiped so had to resetup. Email unusable!! Black writing on dark blue background - durrgh

Searched around and found the solution from DeBackies How to change the background colour of the email programme from black to white? - Page 2

So here is how to fix the issue... go into application manager > ALL > EMAIL. Click Clear Data. This will clear the email data and you will have to reenter the accounts associated. This changed the unreadable email black on dark blue - to black on white!! :D
