Try these settings:

Incoming Mail Server (POP3):
Host Name: mail.bellsouth.net
User Name: your_username
Password: Enter your e-mail password.

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):
Host Name: cwmx.com
User Name: Optional (You do not need to enter anything)
Password: Optional (You do not need to enter anything)

So i have exchange setup and im a little confused. Everything seems to be synced up fine except lets say i check my exchange email on my pc and delete messages from my inbox. When i go to my evo i still have notifications that i have unread mail and when i go to my inbox i have to manually refresh for those to now delete from my phone. I have it setup to sync as items arrive. Is this how it is supposed to work? Thanks.

The notification icon is generated by HTC mail app. It won't disappear, just because you've read the message on your desktop. Messages that were deleted on your PC will not be deleted on your phone until your inbox is either manually refreshed or a sync occurs do to a new message coming in or going out from the phone. This helps save on battery life.

anyone else having trouble sending a picture using Gmail after taking a picture? when i click on the share button after taking a photo the EVO says no mail account setup. i know as a work around i can go into gmail and attach the photo, but its just a pain this way.
Thanks in advance

I'm able to send pictures via Gmail by clicking the share button in the camera app. You might need to do a hard reset and start over. Do you have multiple Gmail accounts setup?

Been trying to get my EAS to connect all day. Says it won't connect to Exchange server. I'm using the same info I have always used on my Pre with no problems. Any one else able to connect to EAS?

As a test, try downloading Touchdown for Android 2.0 / 2.1 (make sure you select this version) from the market and see if you run into the same problem.

If you have Folders set up with Exchange and server-side rules to move incoming mail to folders, do you have to go into each folder and manually sync it anytime you want to check for mail in those folders? Is there any way to have all folders sync automatically?

Yahoo Mail question.

I have my Yahoo mail setup and running by following the instructions on the first page of this thread. However, I can not for the life of me figure out how to get the phone to show my personal folders in my Yahoo account! Inbox, Trash, Sent, and Drafts are there but nothing else....?!?

Can anyone with a Yahoo account confirm that their personal folders are showing up? Can you move emails from your Yahoo inbox to your folders?

How?

No one answered my question here so I'll ask again:

Can I "mark all email as read" with my normal POP email account? My Home screen has the little "99+" above the email icon I'd like to get rid of. Thanks.

Same issue here - using the same parameters as my Pre but cannot connect to servers. This might be a deal killer for me unless I can get my corp mail/calendar on this Evo. My corp IT is useless - they don't support this phone so they won't give me any help. Arrrgh.

Thanks, Touchdown works for me. Now, is this something I need to keep running? I'm new to Android and certainly to Touchdown. Thanks.

Touchdown is a 3rd party email app that's separate from the HTC mail app. For some reason, a few people have reported problems connecting to their Exchange server with the HTC app, however Touchdown works for them. I do know that Touchdown will try various connection methods automatically and will pick the one that works. They say in the setup screen that ActiveSync is preferred. As an email app, Touchdown actually provides more functionality than the built-in app, but it does cost money.

No you cannot. K-9 might provide this ability, but the HTC app does not.

Thanks a ton for this sticky, I was able to add my work email in EVO.

The tricky part is, I want to add two exchange mail box .. but, the phone doesnt seem to support it :(

any ideas on how I could add my second exchange inbox?

I mean, can I set up an exchange server as an imap? .. i tried it.. either i am getting the security type or the port incorrect.. getting the message 'Cannot connect to mail server to verify your account information. Your server is not responding'
