Email - Inbox on screen in landscape

I've been searching the forum and haven't seen anything about this so I'm sorry if this is a duplicate. Maybe I'm the only one who can't figure it out.

When I'm reading my email I prefer to turn to landscape so the message is bigger (the eyes aren't what they used to be). The goal is to keep from having to zoom and then slide it around to see everything. The problem on my Nexus 7 is that when I select a message it still displays the inbox on the left side and actually ends up showing me less of the message than in portrait. I would really like to be able to have the whole screen show my email. Am I missing something simple?

If it can't be done I would welcome any suggestion of alternative email apps that I can use.

I too have the same preference, and have looked long and hard for some toggle to fullscreen for the email being read in landscape. Can't find it.

what I did is go into my email general settings, changed the font to huge and when you read on landscape mode almost seems like it adjust the margings so you can read without scrolling sideways.

OK, Ive tried changing the font to huge but I'm not gettting the desired result. I would really like to be able to get rid of my inbox list on the left side. Does anyone else have any ideas?
