Email issue

I use Gmail for all my email. In setting up email on my S2, I it only allowed me to setup under email. Now my phone is giving notifications for both the Gmail app and the Samsung email app. How do I get it to only use Gmail and to sync with the S2? I guess the real question is how to setup gmail on the S2?

Are you saying that it forces you to set up Gmail on the stock Email app? The Email app should never be required to use. If you don't use the Email app for anything, go to the App Manager, select Email, and tap Disable. This will prevent the app from opening, and therefore stop it from notifying you.

If you logged into the phone using your Google account, the Gmail app should automatically sync with your Google account. Is that not happening?
