Email loading slow

Is it just me or does everyone have an issue from time to time with a specific email taking forever to load. I'll open an email and then there will be a white screen with the text "loading" with the dot wheel (not turning) on the screen and that's it. If I delete the email because it's junk, it will just reappear in my in box. It can take anywhere from a few minutes to several minutes for it to load.

Another thing I've noticed too is that on wifi, there is a higher likelihood of this happening but it does also happen on 3G. Any suggestions? It happens to me with my comcast and mobile me email so I don't think it's the service provider.

Confirmed slow reponse

I experience the same odd behaviour of very slow response to actually retrieve the email content. Also, I sometimes encounter difficulties in downloading the mail headers. This seems to happen especially when I leave the phone on for a very long time. It just fails to download the headers. If I reboot it, it can suddenly receive them again. Annoying that there is no error messaging here: you just think that you do not receive any mails...

Since updating my Samsung Fascinate to Gingerbread my email performance has declined considerably and some emails don't appear to finish loading at all. I don't see the 3G icon light or the dot circle turning when "Loading..." message is present. However, if I depress the Reply button, I can scroll to the previous thread of the reply email and read the message, so the download did complete and just never switches to display mode. Unfortunately, I find the Android operating system and system apps relatively poor quality and unstable. You never know what is going to decline with each operating system release, what feature you're going to lose. Unless you consider your Android phone to be a hobby, it is a pain in the butt and and I am having trouble depending on it. At this point, I will be looking hard at the iPhone when I renew my phone contract. Google has got to get their act together and improve the quality of their product if they ever want to complete with the iPhone head to head.

Your fascinate problem isnt a Google problem...its a samsung TouchWiz problem...get a pure Google phone IE the Nexus coming out tom and you won't have those problems with Samsungs garbage TouchWiz BS...
