Check that you have the refresh interval set to something other than never. Check that you have notifications turned on. If you're going over wifi, ensure that you're not being blocked. If you're going over 3g, ensure that your wifi isn't on and see above. Lastly make sure that your settings are correct(eg try it on a desktop)
