email not working

My wife's nexus 5 will not get emails. She's using the stock app and I've cleared the cache and everything on it. Still nothing. This has been going on for weeks and its really bothering me. Any ideas?

Who is her email provider? You could also try another email app. My wife likes K9 email.

Is your wife able to retrieve her emails on another device or on a computer?

I understand you've cleared cache but have you rebooted?

Is this her main email? I ask because I had a problem in the past and had forgotten I had email forwarding to another email.

I hope she can get email to work.

Yeah she can receive them on the computer just fine. Still nothing. I have turned the phone off several times and cant figure it out.
