Often, I’m at my desk when I receive emails.
With that, I typically read the emails from my desktop, via the browser.

A while back, I could have sworn, if I read an email on my computer, within minutes, or so, the notification on my phone, would disappear. Currently, I still have to open the email app, THEN it updates and the notification goes away.

Am I missing something?

If you're using the stock e-mail app chances are those never went away until you opened the app. If you're using GMail and the GMail app, then those notifications are synced across devices (it may take a couple minutes sometimes, depending on your connection, but it'll go away eventually if you read the e-mail on your desktop).

Hmm, interesting. I will say, on my Priv, it works. Maybe I presume I'd noticed this before on my Note 5. I'll monitor it. (yes, using the default email add, since I'm using an Outlook.com email address).

Thanks for the tip...
