How do I set up my s5 to instantly notify me when I receive emails instead of having to refresh or flick up

Do you have it set up as a "push" account. If not setting it up this way will send the emails to you instantly.

Under sync settings, go to sync schedule. From there go to set sync schedule and select "push (automatic)"

I don't have the "Push" option within the synch schedule. I only have the times, such as 15 minutes, etc. Is this restricted on certain carriers or something?

What kind of email is it? Gmail, yahoo, etc...?

I found the stock email app that Samsung has to be rather lousy. I use Aqua Mail, which is much better and I get push emails for my Gmail and rackspace accounts. Yahoo doesn't have the option to use IMAP for some reason.

Others on here use Blue mail but I haven't got any experience with it. I would strongly suggest a third party email app, though.

It's Yahoo mail and I have AT&T if that matters at all. Thanks for the suggestions on the email apps. Il check them out.
