Email photos lost in ether

please can anyone explain why photos sent from an iPhone will appear and easily download on my crappy little Samsung mobile and they either don't appear or won't download on this Google Nexus10??

Which browser are you using? Are you checking the Downloads app? If they're not there, try using a file manager app like ES File Explorer to navigate to the Downloads folder and see if they're actually there. I think that in order for a file to appear in the Downloads app, it had to get there via the Download Manager. Other apps might download there using other means, so those files may not show up in the Downloads app, but you can still find them if you use a file manager.

Thank you. I can usually work downloads. The problem this time is that the notification in the email of an attachment doesn't even appear, though it does on phone and laptop (Windows) A while back photos I'd attached to an email to this same sender didn't realise how her. Email is is virgin/ntlworld.
