Email - port setting

My mail provider require 4 digit number (2525) as port number. However, the phone only allow me to have three digit, meaning I can only write 252.

It is common with 2 - 3 - 4 digits as port number around the world.

Any who can give me a tip how to come around it?

Surely, I can fwd my mail to a hotmail or gmail account but when replying it will be from that hotmail vs gmail account. It works short term but not long term.

No fix besides root and load a custom froyo ROM. Or just go get a maill app like maildroid, it will let you put the 4 digits in.

Try just 25. It is possible that you may not be able to send emails though, but you should be able to read them. Try it and find out - I think I could do both when I entered 25 in before I moved to K9 Mail.
